Superstars

There’s no show like a Holy Cross College show! The Drama and Music students, along with their teachers, pulled out all the stops for what was an outstanding run of Jesus Christ Superstar in St Patrick’s Hall from 19th-24th November. The cast played to packed audiences who gave repeated standing ovations for each performance. The audiences were blown away by the incredible talent and professionalism of the students - in fact, some described it as West End standard.

Holy Cross has a tradition for its excellence in producing school shows and Jesus Christ Superstar did not disappoint. Set against a stunning backdrop of digital projections, this modern take on the story of the last week of Jesus’ life through the eyes of Judas, captured beautifully the essence of the period whilst adhering most reverently to the sacrifice of the events. The costume, set, lights, sound, music and direction were simply wonderful.
